Royal Mail delivery update

Royal Mail are continuing to deliver, but many areas have been affected by bad weather. The following statement is taken from the Royal Mail website on Saturday 18th December;

"Royal Mail teams are working hard across the country to operate services impacted by the adverse weather conditions over the last two weeks and further recent falls of snow in the North West, Scotland, Wales, Southern and South West England, Northern Ireland, and the Midlands. Further falls of snow are forecast for many parts over the weekend. The majority of delivery and collection services are taking place in the 3000 postcode districts we operate in across the UK. Information about areas affected by the weather conditions can be found on the regional pages.We're deploying additional measures where we can in the continuing difficult conditions to collect, sort, transport and deliver the large volume of seasonal mail now progressing through our network. Deliveries are taking place in the majority of the UK as we do all we can to get mail to customers in all areas, where it's safe and possible for our people to do so. In Scotland, it's taking longer to deal with the mail affected by recent and current weather conditions, as well as the additional seasonal mail coming into and out of the country. We're really sorry for the disruption caused to our services and our customers as a result of prolonged severe weather conditions."
