Royal Mail deliveries

Royal Mail are now delivering as normal. They have reinstated the Special Delivery guarantee from Wednesday 29th December. The following statement is taken from the Royal Mail website, today 30th December;

"The improved conditions and recovery of services across the country means we have been able to restore the guarantee for Special Delivery™ items posted from Wednesday 29th December. We have restored the guarantee, which was withdrawn on 1st December, as we are confident we can now meet the service promise to customers.

Deliveries will not take place on Saturday 1st or Monday 3rd January across the UK and additionally in Scotland on Tuesday 4th January 2011. Therefore, Special Delivery™ items posted on 31st December are guaranteed for delivery on 4th January, except in Scotland where the guaranteed delivery date is 5th January 2011."
