Royal Mail Delivery Delays

Due to the severe weather in some parts of the country, Royal Mail are having difficulty making deliveries as normal. The areas most affected by the snow and icy conditions are : Scotland, London, South East & North East England, Yorkshire and the Midlands.

Royal Mail have imposed a temporary withdrawal of the Special Delivery guarantee, their website states

"Whilst we are continuing to accept, prioritise and expect to deliver the majority of Special Delivery™ items, the changing weather conditions mean we cannot guarantee the delivery of items the next day in all areas. Therefore, in order to provide customers with clear guidance, the Special Delivery™ guarantee remains temporarily withdrawn for items posted from Wednesday 1st December 2010. We will restore the guarantee of delivery as soon as we can assure customers we can honour the service promise in full."
